The Arkansas in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Morris Hartsell( 1845-1939) White County

I had a friend of mine who was doing some research ask me to post the
message on Morris Hartsell. I will pass your reply on to her.
I was interested in the man because he would have been with my kin during
the Civil War if he had made Price's Raid, or had been under Dobbins.
I am one of those lost Price descendants desending from Fielding Price
and his wife, Mary called Polly, Guthrie Price.
Fielding Price died in the Yankee Prison in Little Rock, on Feb. 1, 1865
of smallpox. It is believed he is buried in one of those many unknown CSA
graves outside of the cemetery in Little Rock. Polly Price could not claim his
body because he had died of smallpox.
Thanks!
