In regard to the last Civil War soldier in White County, Morris Hartsell,b. November 26, 1845 in east Tennessee, who did he serve with?
He came to White County in 1855 with his parents, Esau and Elizabeth Hartsell.
I checked the Gerdes site, and there is only one Hartsell listed and he would have been older than this guy, plus a different name.
So where did this man serve?
