Re: Reid's Battery = Roberts Battery Missouri???

Damon,

There is a letter describing the disbanding of Reid's battery at Fort Smith in the "Copybook of Orders and Letters from Thomas Hindman's Command 11 June - 30 December 1862" on the Missouri Digital Heritage website. The letter is dated Dec 24th and is from Hindman's Chief-of-Staff, Robert Newton, to David Provence, Chief-of-Artillery. It is on page 180. It doesn't say what happens to Capt. Reid.

I hope this helps.

Phil
