Rob,
Would you mind sharing the source description for Lt. Elihu Wesley Watson's conversation with Dickinson President Herman M. Johnson? Another project of mine is to identify college alumni who served in the Gettysburg campaign, which as a sidebar includes Dickinson College's close encounter with the Confederate army. I was unaware of Lt. Watson's meeting with President Johnson, however another Confederate also recorded an extended meeting with President Johnson, and his daughter. That was Chaplain Alexander D. Betts of the 30th North Carolina, which can be found in his published work (available online), "Experience of a Confederate Chaplain."
