Where was the 46th Ala INf in Dec '63

Greetings: I found the grave of Private Aaron Varnum, Co I, 46th Alabama Inf. in Grainger County, TN. His service record states that he was KIA at the Battle of Bean Station, Tennessee and the date was September 4, 1862. The Battle of Bean Station took place on December 14-15, 1863. The grave is a few miles from where the battle took place. My question is: are there records documenting that the 46th was at the battle of Bean Station?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
