Lee, July 30, 1863, native of Scotland, captured July 4, 1863 at Vicksburg, Miss. paroled next day, on duty with staff of Maj. Gen. S. D. Lee at Meridian, Miss. May 25, 1864 as Acting A. D. C. from May 1, 1864, received orders August 1, 1864 to proceed to Mobile, Ala. and report to Gen. Higgins for assignment to duty with his Brigade, Sept. or Oct., 1864, appointed Lt. Col. of 4th Ala. Reserves, Jan. 30, 1865, signs as Lieut. Col., commanding 4th Ala. Reserves
