I recieved my grgrgrandfathers records today from the National Archives,and I am confused by what they say, he was in
both armies(long story).Statement of Service Reference
Slip-from the pension office,looks to be 1 Ala.Confederate-copl.co.a,1 Batt,Ala.Partisan Rangers,
later a 12 Ala.Cav.then,pvt.co.E,12 Batt.later12 Cav.
he mustered out of co.k,3rd Tenn.Cav.Union.Can someone
take pity on me and translate the CSA part?My grgr
grandfather was William Franklin Battles from St.Clair
