Military Annals of Tennessee, vol 2, pp. 870-71 includes the following list of men from this company who were killed or died of wounds at Fort Henry:
1. John Douglas
2. James Kalichan (Callahan)
3. Michael Lee
4. Edward McCabe
5. Hiram Boswell
6. G. J. Maroney
Also, William Renfro died of wounds on February 11th. Pvt. R, Garner was wounded at Fort Henry and eventually died on Aug. 7, 1862.
McCabe appears on the CSA index as a member of Co. "C", 15th Tennessee Infantry Regiment, which was in the area.
I checked the CSA index and found no one named Young Williams. That's also true for Alabama pension records; no one by that name. Out of curiousity I checked the 1860 census for Alabama and again came up with nothing. Have you located him on the census? What do we really know about this man?
Williams, Allen Y.
