>However, children Allen and Rachel are on both the 1850 and 1860 census, being ennumerated with Allen Williams in 1860 (age 60) as mentioned Saturday.

Alan, I don't have easy access to the 1860 census, so I have to ask if you are looking at the right Rachel Williams in that census.

In the 1850 census, Rachel (the elder) is married to Allen F. Williams. And, there is a three month old infant in the household of William H. Williams (next door to Allen F.) who is named Rachel. The Rachel that we are looking for should be 13 in 1860 and the infant Rachel would have been 10.

Also, there is a person in the household of Allen F. that is given as "not sure". Could this be another Allen?

And, is Sarah Williams, daughter of A.Y., in the 1860 census?

Depending on the answers to this question, Allen Young Williams and family may not have been enumerated in 1860, or the family may have moved from the county.

Thanks in advance for taking yet another look at this!
