F.M.Shiels Co. A, 46TH Ala. Inf. - Died at Vicksburg?

Can someone tell be if F.M. Shields of Co. A 46TH Ala.Inf. died at or near Vicksburg on or about 12 June 1863?

Reason I am asking is that I have found in a book titled "Confederate Roll of Honor, Confederate Dead Vicksburg Campaign, January 1862 - July 1863" by Gary W. Webster that lists F.M. Shields of Co. A 40TH(not 46TH) Ala. Inf. as died 12 June 1863 and buried in grave # 14 at Vicksburg. Source of information is a UDC record book page 36.
I can find no record whatsoever of this man ever being in the 40TH, but I did find this same name listed in Broadfoot's as being with the 46TH and the same company,A. I strongly suspect that this entry is in error with either the author or the UDC record book and this man should be listed with the 46TH. I do believe the 46TH was in the Vicksburg vicinity at this time. If someone can verify that this man in the 46TH did die on or about this date, I shall assume this entry is in error. I have also checked casualty lists for the Vicksburg siege for Moore's Brigade, Forney's Division of which the 40TH was a part and there is no such name reported. There were names ommitted, however and the records of the 40TH were lost during the siege, so it is possible this man may have been in the 40TH, but I suspect not.

Thanks very much for your efforts in helping with this!
