relocate 10th Alabama Cemetery in Virginia?
Wed May 30 11:05:13 2001
The 10th Alabama Infantry buried several dozen or more men at their camp at Bristoe Station, Virginia between 1861 to 1862. A subdivision has been proposed around the cemetery and across the adjacent battlefield of Bristoe Station (fought Aug. 27, 1862 and again Oct. 14, 1863). If the people of Alabama could vote on the issue, do you think they would prefer to leave the cemetery between houses or have the cemetery relocated? The public hearing scheduled for Sept. 19, 2001 and I would like to share your views with the elected officials in Virginia.
In remebrance of their sacrifice,
J. Posey Buckhall
