If you are from Alabama and want to support our Sons Confederate Vetereans you can purchase the Specialty License Plate. It's only $50.00 extra dollars ($40 of it goes to Sons of Confederate Veterans) and you do NOT have to be a member of the SCV to purchase the license plate. SCV is a National, non politacal organization whose sole purpose is to presearve Confederate History. You can learn more about them by visiting there National Web Site at: http://www.scv.org/
I had NO idea that these license plates were availible if I hadn't seen a poster recently. Alabama does NOT advertise these at the probate office or on their Web Site like they do the other specialty tags.
