Lee WhiteDea's BrigadeTue Apr 3 14:26:23 2001 If the account refers to Missionary Ridge then it may be true, there was a big controversey between Dea's and Anderson's Brigades over who broke first on the Ridge, although it was Anderson's men that did break first according to General Anderson himself. Anyway, Dea's brigade did give way soon after and were stamped with that stigma. Both Brigades had done very well at Chickamauga, but at the Ridge they were posted in a very bad postion, part of the Brigades at the foot of the Ridge and the rest up top, created all sorts of confusion when the men from the front came back up the Ridge with the Federals right behind them.
