UPCHURCH, Burton "Burt", Capt. (Born 7/31/1838 in Pickens Co. Pre-war occupation as a clerk. Enlisted 3/26/1861. Elected 2nd Lt. May, 1862, wounded at Corinth Oct. 3, 1862, returned for the Vicksburg campaign, surrendered at Vicksburg, paroled and joined the combined 37th-42nd. He was Capt. during the Atlanta campaigns. Living in Pickens Co. after the war. Died in June 1895.)

You'll note that this particular bio would move the 37th/42nd consolidation date up considerably.
