Hayes LoweAt Petersburg, Va.Mon Jan 22 20:12:57 2001 "As of the last report by the regiment (in February 1865), the 41st was “in the trenches” outside of Petersburg, Virginia. On April 1, the regiment was fighting at Five Forks, Petersburg. The regiment surrendered at Appomattox Courthouse in Virginia on April 9, 1865, under the command of Col. Martin L. Stansel of Pickens County." Doesn't this indicate that the 41st was in the ANV at the time of surrender? Were there AOT regiments at the Appomattox surrender?Gracie's Brigade Alan Pitts, Mon Jan 22 23:36 Back to VA Tim, Tue Jan 23 10:44 Typists Tim, Tue Jan 23 10:55 Kentucky Orphan Brigade Hayes Lowe, Tue Jan 23 08:50 Orphan Brigade Wayne Dowdle, Tue Jan 23 09:20 Orphan Brigade Hayes Lowe, Tue Jan 23 09:49 Here it is.
