Mark HordElliot's Brigade?Sat Nov 25 21:29:39 2000 I'm trying to track down one of my ancestors:Edward Livinston Hord, who was a Quartermaster. According to the records I found in a book on the family geneology, I found that he served in Gracie's brigade first and then in Elliot's brigade. I found information on Gracie's brigade but not Elliot's. Also, I couldn't find a muster roll for Gracie's or Elliot's. From what I understand, he is probably listed as:E.L. Hord.Any information would be great. I'm trying to track it down for my SCV membership so I can order the service record. On another one - my gggrandfather, Francis Triplett Hord is supposed to have been in the 1st Arkansas Regiment (according to this geneology book I found on the Hord family). It also indicated that he had been captured on 9 July 1863 and was at Johnson's Island and then at Fort Delaware. Also it indicates that he was at Shiloh and Vicksburg. I haven't found any other confirmation than that little bit in the book and from family stories handed down through word of mouth. If anybody has info on Francis (often went by Frank) I'd appreciate that too. Thanks!Mark Hordhttp://www.homestead.com/j_mark_hordMajor E.L.
