I think that I may have found Francis Hord in the Vicksburg records:

HART, F. (no rank given) 1ST ARK CAV. (no company given).

The only Hord that was listed as paroled at Vicksburg was HORD, O. C. PVT 40TH ALA. INF Company C

Note that the Vicksburg records are notorious for using "alternate" phonetic spellings. The Union soldiers taking down the names obviously had a very hard time of it with Southern accents.
