Moses Eudailey

I'm trying to determine when a Confederate ancestor might have died at Gettysburg. Moses Eudailey enlisted in April 1862 in the 2nd Virginia Artillery Co. E.

Two of his brother's and a cousin also served in the 2nd Va. Art. Co. E. This unit became Company E of the 22nd Virginia Infantry Battalion in May 1862. These other Eudailey's are shown in both the 2nd Va. Art. & 22nd Va. Inf. Battn. Moses is not, only the Art. unit

He has a short service record the last page of which states "Over age thirty-five", which would lead one to believe he was discharged under the Confederate Conscription Act & never transferred to the 22nd with his family members.

But, his widow has a Virginia pension & later a TN pension. Widow L.C. Eudailey's pension record states that he was killed at Gettysburg by "bomb shell wound". Her pension record says Moses served in Wing's Battalion written above another word i can't read, Da..

My question is did he die as a member of the 22nd Va. Inf Bttn. or the 2nd Va Art.? Was Wing's Bttn the 22nd ? Could he have died during Pickett's charge which the 22nd took part ? The 22nd did not fight on Day 2.

Thanks for the help.
