One nice thing about Kesterson's book on the 17th Virginia Cavalry. He quotes two versions of the diary/journal of a trooper named Hoddam. This covers March 29 to april 9, 1865.

Also Thomas Munford mentions McCausland's brigade during the campaign in various unpublished manuscripts that he wrote.
