Thanks, George Martin, now I will have to do more research! We may have a Gort, Cort, or Gant that we have mis-read or someone mis-transcribed! It is possible that we have two men who died of wounds from the Battle of Iuka, who have similar names. Will check on this when I get a minute extra to research.
