Mike- Rusk and Larissa are only about 20 miles apart. Rusk is the County seat. Both men are so close in age and there could be the possibility that George W of the 17th could have died at Camp Douglas as so many did. Wish I had some family history of him. I do know he was 11 in the 1850 Alabama Census. I have to assume that the George W of Rusk who is recorded as having died in prison is the person I am seeking. I will go forward following his trail until something tells me he is not. I found his step-brothers grave in Mississippi, maybe I will eventually find his.
