Sept. & Oct., 1862 Stationed at Camp Nelson, Ark.
Spreights Regiment left Camp Daniel near Tyler Texas, enroute to Little Rock, ARk. on the 9 day of Sept. 186, made a temporary halt of one day on the 10 for repairs on wagons etc and resumed line of march on 11th made a temporary halt of one day on 15 for repairs of wagons etc resumed line of march on 16 reached Camps near Washington Ark Sept 23, 1862 and then made a temporary half of three days in order to procure coms stores & have wagons repaired. Resumed line of march on 26 day of Sept. 1862 and encamped near Little Rock, Ark on 3 day of Oct. 1862 Distance marched (305) three hundred and five miles on the 17 day of October 1862 took up line of march for Camp near Austin, Ark which place reached 19 day Oct 1862 Distance 25 miles and are now encamped at Camp Nelson near Austin Arkansas
The next muster is that of May & June, 1863
Regiment Return, F & S and companies stated at Camp Bayou Metre, Ark. except as follows:
Left Camp Nelson, Ark on 23 Nov. 1862. Marched 3 days. Total distance marched 17 miles. Encamped at Camp Bayou Metre near Brownsville Ark on 25 Nov. 1862
Company I, Mar & Apr, 1863 stationed Enroute to Camp Kiamishi O. N.
Took the line of march for Fort Smith Ark on the 21 Apr and proceeded in that direction one hundred and four miles When we were ordered to take up the line of march and return to Kiamishi at the mouth of Kiamishi Creek.
