Capt. Fossett's two-company battalion was posted at Camp Colorado and most sources say he patrolled south of that point (not couting his trip along the Middle Concho to Dove Creek). Does anyone know how far south he was responsible for? Most of the old Frontier Regiment posts to the south had been abandoned by this point.
