L.D. Rowe Enlisted in Co.K 60th Tennessee Nov.7,1862 at Haynesville, Tennessee. ( I believe this is modern-day Johnson City ) he is listed as " present " till the roll for March and April 1863 when he is listed " absent, in the hospital " There's no further records. Only four cards in his file. I believe the 60th was part of the Confederate force opposing Grant at Vicksburg at this time. Many of the east Tennessee boys died of disease while there. There was also a Thomas and David Rowe in the same company.
