Re: reasons for resignation

His name is John Cunningham. Many sources have said he was in the Company G, 4th Kenturcky infantry CSA. His rank was 1st Lt, but I am still not sure this is the correct unit. There at least 3 reasons he may have not been in that unit. He resigned in Sept of 1862. I have his records and it doesn't give the reason for resignation. He also may have lied about his age. He was 30 years of age in 1861, but this record says his age was 23 when enlisted. Just trying to get the facts straight. Many swear this is the proper service history, but I am still skeptical. Things just don't add up.

Thanks, Rob
