Re: Truth About Nathan Bedford Forrest

Thanks so much........ I read about Ft. Pillow this afternoon from " The Confederacy's Greatest Cavalryman, Nathan Bedford Forrest " by Brian Steel Wills. What you say very much agrees with his account of the battle. Being a native of east Tennessee, with ancestors that fought on both sides I'm certainly aware of the bad blood between Confederate and Union in the Volunteer State. Over the years I'd read and heard many different things about N.B. Forrest. None quite so absurd sounding as the one in question. Thanks so much for your insightful response. It's sad what is done to our history and Civil War history in particular in the name of " political correction "
