There is an entry on ancestryDOTcom that lists him with parents names and other information. born in 1834 in Tennessee and died in Floyd (County?) Texas in 1919. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of the information that someone has enter for him in that Tree, but it is a starting place. I presume you are not a member of Ancestry or you would have already turned that up in your search. They usually have a free trial period if you want to check it out.
