I also have located some of my ancestors from Dickson and Humphreys County from those tax lists on Ancestry.com. Some are listed; "Paid""exempt" and year 1866 and some don't have any date or if paid at all. Sometime the location is mentioned(usually along a named creek). but i have noticed that many of my ancestors who resided in those locations are not listed. (??) maybe their land was conficscated for aiding guerrillas?(some of my ancestors from those parts were)

They are listed by Districts; information that is not listed on the 1860 Federal census. So that bit can be usefull in determining where they resided during the war.
