Thanks for the information. My g-g-grandfather Aaron Morrow and his three brothers were in the 3rd TN Mounted Infantry USA, the same as Lt. Giles. In fact my g-g-uncle, James Morrow was 1st Lt. of Company G while Giles was 1st Lt. of Company C. Captain Pearson was a son-in-law of the regimental Colonel as you probably know. I've always found Lt. Giles an interesting individual as most of the men in the regiment were yeoman farmers and Giles had a more privileged background. I also find it interesting that his family served under John C. Vaughn while James Giles own Confederate service was in the Templer Lewis Souts....thanks again.
