My ancestor served with the Templer Lewis Scouts from 1861 to late 1863. Unlike a lot of Confederate Homeguard units it was aggresive and well lead, operating in Cocke County TN. I can't say that I have ever seen a muster roll on the Scouts. Osborn's troops were enrolled Confederate Cavalry but operated fairly independently around Blount and Siever County. The TengenWeb page doesn't have much on them either.
