Re: Camps used in the middle TN area

Mr. Skellie,

I haven't forgotten about you. Having a hard time finding 1st Lt George Wm Hall's military and pension files. If I cannot find them, you can get them from the Vonore Library in Vonore, TN. About 10 yrs ago, I was there doing some research and donated copies of all George Wm Hall files. They will only charge for the copies and postage.

Maybe this will help: in the military files, in May 1865, George is promoted to 1st Lt. from Sgt. "since Ford killed" This is taken from the Adj. General's Rpt. of 1866:
"GEORGE HALL
Rank: 1 Ser
Age: 33
Enlisted: Mar 30 64 Mustered: Apr 15 64
Remarks: Disc May 8 65 to ac com as 1 Lt"

I will start looking for what else I can find.
