I am very interested in any information on the 12th Cav. How it was started, were many of the men former POW's etc. I received other information about Ford being a deserter, then being said to be captured and killed by the enemy. What I have seen so far supports his being from Miss. and possibly the man we are seeking. Any info during the October-November 1864 time period would be appreciated as well.
