There is nothing online about these diaries at all. Marshall was from the Minnesota contingent of the 5th Iowa Cavalry and the Minnesota Historical Society has some type of transcript of them based on their website, whereas Duke holds the actual diaries themsevles written in pencil.

Not having seen what Minnesota has, and not having gone through all 20 or so of the diaries while at Duke, I cannot say if he mentioned your ancestors at all.
