Just so you know, I grew up in Knoxville and have spent most of my adult life researching g-g-g-grandfather John Williams, who rescued Jackson in 1814 then they feuded to the grave. I own his house in Knox built in 1826; am trying to get it rehabbed now. I am retired in Nashville, and have never given Gustavus the attention I should have. I'm hoping to find some photos of those units and perhaps put a face to a name that's never had one; he was our original German immigrant. Thank you again, and stay in touch. Col.
