Maj. Gustavus R. Brandau, U.S. Army; he was a Surgeon in the 7th TN Cavalry which later merged with the 9th Cavalry. I can make several brancvhes of the family very happy if I could find a photograph. He is buried at Arlington National Cemetery with his 2nd wife, Charlotte C. Roehl, date of interment 7/1/28.
