There is no substance to the rumor.
Mayor Marcus Winchester is not
part of the Forrest Family.

Forrest was the 1st Keynote speaker BY INVITATION,
at the initial gathering of the Black Poll Watchers. This is the founding
group of the NAACP.

Forrest was also the President of the Memphis/Selma Rail Road.
They paid some of the highest wages around. The work force was largely Black.
