C. Jones, married December 24, 1833 to Esther Gillespie Irwin, daughter-Sarah C. Turner, pre-war member House, 32nd General Assembly, 1857-59 representing Roane Co., Tenn., Democrat, , engaged in farming at Wrightsville, Erie and Roane, Sheriff of Roane Co. 1850-1856, director, Athens branch of the Bank of Tennessee, younger brother Joseph became Major of the 5th US Tennessee infantry, post war first Sheriff of Loudon County
