Alexander B Wilson served in the 4th Tennessee Volunteer Infantry Regiment(USA) which was under the command of Colonel Stover(Andrew Johnson"s son in law). He enlisted as a Private April 6 1863. Promoted to Sergeant April 26, 1863. Captured at McMinneville and Paroled October 1863. Promoted to 2nd Lieutenant October 1864 and to 1st Lieutenant Feb 1865. He mustered out August 1865.
