I am glad you asked this question, I have also pondered this myself and thought about posting. Has anybody ever seen or heard stories, about what life was like for Soldiers and Civilians who were Sent "North of the River"? I have read the Story about the appalling conditions, that the Women and Children who worked at the clothing Factory in Georgia, experienced after they were sent to Ohio.
