South Carolina 1st. Cavalry

Elihu Gladden, born 1821 in Chester county, S.C. served in First S.C. Cavalry and died in 1902 in Chester county, S.C. He is buried in Bethesda Methodist Church Cemetery.

His brother, Jesse Alexander Gladden served in the same unit and died Feb. 24, 1897 and he is also buried at Bethesda Methodist Church Cemetery. The Cemetery is located in Fairfield county, S.C.
