The Supplement to the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies, ed. by Janet B. Hewett, vol. 65, part II, serial no. 77 (Wilmington, NC: Broadfoot Publishing Company, 1998), pp. 57-78 indicates that Company I had "14 men wounded at Gettysburg, including two Lieutenants, one of whom died of wounds; the other is now a prisoner in Ohio." The former officer may be 1st Lt. W. F. Monts, while the latter is likely Lt. J. A. Derrick. With no outright deaths reported, it appears Sgt Henry Luther Amick died of his wounds. Greg Coco's Gettysburg's Confederate Dead lists a Private Draton J. Amick from Company I (age 18) who was mortally wounded at Gettysburg and died on 22 July at the Seminary Hospital in Hagerstown, MD. Also listed in that work is a Private Elijah R. Amick from Company C who died 6 September at Camp Letterman hospital near Gettysburg; he was reinterred at Magnolia Cemetery in Charleston on 10 May 1871. Company I's roll in History of Kershaw's Brigade shows a slew of Amicks in Company I: J. Wesley Amick, Joseph W. Amick, James J. Amick, S. D. W. Amick, E. L. Amick, V. E. Amick, G. H. Amick, D. I. Amick, L. J. Amick, J. I. Amick - perhaps there are some misspellings to account for Henry Luther and Drayton. Interesting that the same source under Company C lists a Sgt. E. W. Lewie, which might have been misconstrued as Sgt. E. W. Eure/Ewie. Coco shows a Sgt. Emanuel W. Lewie from Company C who was killed 2 July and buried on George Rose's farm near the Wheatfield - he was reinterred at Magnolia Cemetery as well on 10 May 1971. Company C also has an E. R. Amick (identifiable with Elijah R. above) and an H. Amick.
