The best way I know of to find photos of old Civil War vets (other than finding them posted on a page dedicated to a particular unit) is by searching ancestry.com and looking at the trees people have put up. It does cost a monthly access fee to see the trees.

The pictures are easy to download -- just double click to bring the picture up -- then right click and "save as" to your computer. I have a tree up with 12,000 people on it -- have found a lot of CW soldier pictures from our extended family by searching other trees. I put up some kind of memorial to these soldiers on my tree -- a summary of their records, info about the regiment, and a picture of the regimental flag if I can find one so they will not be forgotten.

You could print out a list of your 14th SC soldiers and do a search in ancestry.com, one by one -- tedious, yes, but worth it if you have the time to do it.

I will also look for some of the guys in company D using this method.
