Great information and helps answer my question.

Interesting that Addison Martin was in the same regiment --- he was the brother of one of my children's grandmothers on their paternal side (Louany Martin Stone, wife of Labon Milton Stone of the 1st SC (Orr's) Infantry). Addison was a furniture maker and some of his pieces still exist today -- a linen cabinet, side cabinet and rocking chair. I have quite a few pictures of Addison, his home, family and furniture pieces.
