SUPER...MUCH APPRECIATE your "poking around!!!!!" I am researching a surgeon that worked at the "Ladies Hospital" in Columbia. Everything I have found points to him working at the second one in the Schofield and Butler Car factory. Car Factory would probably say that it was burned...but the fact that it was still a hospital...at least until just before the arrival of Union forces M-I-G-H-T mean it was somehow spared the fire.
