The South left the Union for that very purpose and modeled their Constitution on the original one. All they asked for was for the federal government to comply with the U.S. Constitution, but it just became more corrupt. If we had leaders that were genuine statesmen then Secession might be a good idea. Perhaps we will have leaders like that one day.
