Re: Abraham Lincoln's Assination
In Response To: Abraham Lincoln's Assination ()

:) I guess I should point out I am a woman. My full name is Lee Ann, nevertheless it would have been nice if my mother had named me Leigh, and not Lee like the general. I've done at least a decade of genealogy and history work (especially Civil War era) in Jackson County, Tennessee (in the upper middle part of the state and not to be confused with the city, Jackson) and her surrounding counties. I know a lot about the Battle of Stones River or The Battle of Murfreesboro, where the 8th and 28th Tennessee fought. Recently I've been doing research on Nashville during that era as well. As a Civil War historian I have good working knowledge of the wide Civil War overview, then quite a bit about the battles and the experience in specific places.

As far as a Catholic conspiracy goes, I'd be more likely to believe it if Lincoln hadn't been assinated on Good Friday. But then we go down the conspiracy wormhole 'Could that have been part of the plan?....' Thanks for mentioning it above however, I'll check it out.

And finally, thanks so much for your responses.
