I tried to do some research into Littleberry Vincent, his genealogy, where he might be buried, etc., and I couldn't find much. I would think with a name like Littleberry it would be easy to find something. How many Littleberrys can there be after all. I did see one in North Carolina that I suppose is the one who ended up in Alabama.

References to the battle refer to it as Vincent's Crossroads and as a battle near Bay Springs, I think because they were the closest communities. It now appears to me, based on artifacts found and on references to a particular farm, Widow Clark's, that the battle began between Dennis and Belmont, Mississippi, near the current northeastern boundary of Belmont, and turned into a running battle going down the Aberdeen Road toward Itawamba County, toward "the Bull Mountains".
