Also, the Mississippi Confederate Grave Registry shows that E. J. Johnson, buried at Pilgrim Rest in Panola County, was a member of Co. D, 38th Alabama. However, it states that he was born May 12, 1843, and that he died Nov. 9, 1929. Can anyone straighten all this out?
