Hello I am new to this forum. Recently I have started researching my family ancestry. I have came upon three family members who served in the Ms 42nd Infantry. All from Calhoun County Ms. Two grandfather's and one uncle. I do know Joseph knox(grandfather) was captured and imprisoned at Pointe Lookout where he also died. My other grandfather Anderson Massey returned home during the war due to sickness. That's all the information I have pretty much on him. He is buried here close to my home. William Massey younger brother to Anderson and my uncle to my understanding was captured. I don't know anything else and it's a true mystery to me. Any info is greatly appreciated.
