William F. Leggett, J. D. Patterson, and James K. Polk D. Loflin were in Company F, "Covington Fencibles", 27th Mississippi Infantry Regiment. Both Leggett and Patterson were listed 10-19-1861 until 11-5-1861 as present and then as died, date unknown. Loflin was discharged at Fort McRee with blindness because of wound. Loflin was born 10-2-1845 and died 1-1-1881 and is buried in Wesleyanna Cemetery in Rankin County, MS. He would have just turned 16 when he was wounded.
